The Shrine Picnic

Last weekend while Jeff was away climbing, Abe and I went to the Shrine Picnic. I have fantastic childhood memories of the picnic, running around with my sister, brother and cousins, the prizes, the silly oriental band, the endless cotton candy, the races and the toys. Phil and my Mom graciously hosted Abe and I this year. Although the picnic has drastically changed, Abe had a blast and he came home just like we used to: fully of sugar, smiles, a bucket load of prizes and completely exhausted.

The biggest bouncy slide we have ever seen!

Looks exactly the same & the cotton candy was still endless!

I know my siblings would recognize this!

Birthday BBQ

We celebrated Abe's belated birthday with a BBQ this past weekend. The bouncy house returned again this year - it was bigger (didn't think that was possible!) and his Grandma Christianson made another amazing cake. Abe had a great time with his buddies and was full of smiles.

The Mini Boat

We spent a great weekend in Wenatchee with amazing hosts and lots of family.  Abe had so much fun, hanging out with his cousin, "camping" on the lawn, swimming in the pool, and playing in the sand, but his favorite thing was riding the "mini boat" see picture below!

R.I.P.

Abe met the newest member of the Christianson family Grandma and Grandpa Christianson family last week, Uncle RIP. I still haven't figured out the name, but isn't he adorable?

*Update here: sorry for the confusion this post generated...RIP is adorable and we are very excited but he officially belongs to another branch of the Christianson Family. The confusion on his name, however continues.

Three Years

We celebrated Bear's 3rd birthday with a party at school, his favorite dinner (pizza!) and a trip on Seattle's Great Wheel. He had a blast!
